Holiday Inn Select Executive Center, Columbia, MO >>Download the 2009 Ranly Entry Form Ranly Awards Honor Excellence in Print and Electronic Publications About 150 publication professionals witnessed 37 Ranly Awards recognizing outstanding magazines, newsletters, and Web sites during the 4rd Annual Publications Summit at the University of Missouri-Columbia on March 6-7. The Publications Summit is an annual educational event sponsored by the Missouri Association of Publications (MAP), a Columbia-based non-profit organization representing 340 professionals producing print and electronic versions of publications in Missouri and the region. The Ranlys are named in honor of MAP's founder and professor emeritus of the Missouri School of Journalism, Don Ranly, Ph.D. A professor of journalism for 31 years at the Missouri School of Journalism, Dr. Ranly is an author of articles and books on writing and editing and is a popular speaker at businesses and organizations across the country. Five publication experts on writing, editing and design at the Missouri School of Journalism judge the 127 entries.
